How
do I get my marriage license?
You will need to complete the required forms. Either we can send you
the necessary forms (along with complete instructions) or you can download
them. You simply fill them out, have them notarized, and return them
to us. We will file them in court for you so they are ready when you
arrive. We will take you to make a brief personal appearance in court
to pick up your valid marriage license and you are then legal to get
married! No blood test is required and that satisfies the 8-day waiting
period.

forms, or download them here:

Is
my marriage legal in my home state or country?
ABSOLUTELY!
What
type of ceremony do you provide?
We have ministers
who are non-denominational, as well as Lutheran, Episcopalian, Baptist,
Reformed (Presbyterian) and Catholic.
Can
we write or own ceremony or vows?
Absolutely. We love for you to be that involved. We can offer suggestions
or personalize your ceremony in any way you want.
Can I choose where to have my ceremony?
Of course. We have many beautiful beaches, lovely old ruins and a botanical
garden. Some locations do charge a fee, but all the beaches are free!
Can I choose what types of flowers are
in my bouquet?
Certainly. We can get almost any type of flower here, although do remember
this is an island and sometimes items we have ordered do not arrived
as planned. We use a wonderful florist who would rather substitute flowers
than use flowers that don’t look their best.
What if it rains?
We’ll wait a few minutes for it to stop, then proceed. Generally,
our rain showers do not last. If for some strange reason it is very
rainy for a long time (rare here on St. Croix) we will be happy to reschedule.
How do I get my dress to the island?
We suggest you carry it on the plane with you. Keep it with you at all
times. The airlines are usually accommodating to your needs….ask
them to hang it for you.
What do I need for travel documents and
identification at the Court?
At the moment, you need proof of citizenship to travel. That would be
a birth certificate or passport. When you appear at the court to pick
up your official license, you will need a photo I.D.
We have a wonderful custom here on our friendly island. We say “Good
Morning”, “Good
Afternoon”, or “Good
Night” to people as we meet them or come
into contact with them. This is true even in the grocery store or in
a shop downtown. We often say it to strangers on the street. We invite
you to do the same, and you will be welcomed warmly.
Another one of
our customs is that men should always have a shirt on in town, and women
should not wear short shorts or bathing suits with out covering up in
town. We thank you for respecting this custom.
